Youth Hostel, Masada

The youth hostel was built at the foot of Masada and sits on 9,000 square meter property.

The project, made of terraced wings with yards between them, blends in to the desert landscape.

The exteriors of the buildings are made of stone veneer and stucco, in sandy hues suited to the surrounding color palette. The project contains guest rooms, assembly halls, etc. The main lobby, the dining room and the cafeteria are located in the main entrance building. There is also an outdoor swimming pool and basketball court. The project was landscaped with flora that suits the arid desert climate.

The hostel is used by education institutions and tourists. It is a part of the general development of the Masada site, together with a visitor's center and cable-cars to the site.
